Western Railway invites ONLINE applications
from interested Applicants for engagement as Act Apprentices against the 3553
slots notified for training in the designated Trades under Apprentice Act 1961
at various Divisions, Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railways for
the year 2018-19.
1. Trades: Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter, Mechanic
(DSL), Mechanic (Motor
Vehicle), Programming & System Administration Assistant, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Mechanic Refridgeration & AC, Mechanic LT & Cable, Pipe Fitter, Plumber, Draftsman (Civil)
2. Qualification:
a.
Essential: The Applicants should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of issue of this
notification i.e. 08/12/2018
b..Technical:
ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in relevant trade
3 . Training Period: The selected Applicants
are required to undergo apprenticeship training
for a period of 01 Year.
4. Stipend:
a . During
the first year of training - 70% of minimum wage of semi-skilled workers notified by the respective State or
Union Territory
b. During the second year of training - 80% of minimum wage of semi- skilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory
c. During the third year of training - 90% of minimum wage of semi-skilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory

5. Physical
& Medical: Applicants shall be eligible for being trained under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeships
Rules-1992 as amended from time to
time only if he or she satisfies the minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed in Schedule-II
of the afore said Act and Rules
and the medical standards prescribed for imparting training to the relevant trades which will be certified by
a Railway Doctor.
Age: The Applicants should
have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age.

Instruction:
a.
The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to
eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications ,mode of selection and
allotment of Division/Workshop etc. shall be final.Candidature of the Applicants shall be cancelled if he/she fails to produce the required original
testimonials for verification or any other discrepancy noticed.
b. Before applying, the Applicants should ensure that he/she fulfils the
eligibility and other criteria. If erroneously engaged, such Applicants shall
be summarily Terminated without notice at any stage.The Railway administration
do not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the Applicants not
selected or not called for. No correspondence in respect of the application
submitted shall be entertained or replied by this office to any individual or
organization.
c.
Those who willfully absent themselves are liable to refund the whole cost of
their training as well as the amount paid as stipend as determined by the
Central Apprenticeship Advise.

Selection
Procedure
There
will be no written test or viva. Selection of the eligible Applicants for
imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit
list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks
obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate)
marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

.Applicants are required to apply ONLINE by visiting www.rrc-wr.com. Detailed
instructions for filling up ONLINE applications will be available on the
website.Applicants are required to fill up the personal details/ Trade/ Aadhaar
number/ Marks/CGPA/ preference for Divisions/ Workshops etc. very carefully as
the Computerised Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the
information filled by the Applicant in the ONLINE application. In case of any
discrepancy observed at the time of Document Verification, the Applicant will
be disqualified summarily.

.Applicants are advised to indicate their active mobile number and valid e-mail
ID in the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire engagement
process as all important messages will be notified on website and email/SMS
will be sent only to the selected Applicants which will be treated as
deemed to have been read by the Applicants.
3.
Applicants possessing ITI qualification in more than one trade can apply for
different relevant trades separately.Applicants are required to report for
Document / Certificate Verification with their Originals and Medical Exam in
